Travel Insurance Cost Reduction Tips
Don't always buy from Travel Agents
It's an easy option to buy travel insurance with your holiday but it could be more expensive! You'll often be able to save money by buying it separately.
Shop Around
You must always shop around and compare both the premium quotes and levels of protection & cover. Assess your needs carefully as the cheapest option is not always the best.
Policy Type
Consider how many times you are likely to travel in a year. If you do take more than one holiday a year then it is likely to be more cost efficient to buy an annual multi-trip policy. The initial cost may be higher but if you split the cost between all your trips then it is often cheaper.
Higher Risk Activities
If you do not ski then avoid a policy that cover this automatically as the total cost is likely to be higher. Any activity such as bungee jumping, scuba diving, skiing etc… all attract higher risk and therefore higher premiums.
Buy Online
Buying over the net can save you money as online transactions generally cost the companies less so they will pass saving onto the consumer.
